MURRAY — Murray police are questioning a man in connection with the shooting death of another man on Thursday.

As of Friday afternoon, however, it was unclear whether the man had been arrested.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at 4460 S. Fairbourne Street about 8:15 p.m. Thursday. A man in his 20s who had been shot was found in the parking lot of the apartment building. Despite lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead a short time later. The man’s name has not yet been released.

On Friday, police announced that another man in his 20s had been taken “into custody for questioning, and charges are pending.” No other details about the man or what potential charges he faces have been released.
