ST. GEORGE — The friends and family of Claudia Gutierrez Venable are raising money to pay for the medical care she is receiving for critical injuries sustained in a recent car crash.
The authorities investigating the crash and those close to Venable have also clarified that the incident was most likely caused by a seizure brought on by stress and a medical condition.
The crash occurred in the early afternoon on Sunday, Dec. 22, when Venable’s SUV went through a ramp barrier on I-15 and landed upside down on the banks of the Santa Clara River, approximately 30 feet below the ramp.
A fundraiser for Venable’s medical care was set up by her friends that same day.
